Year 8 Discover the Origins of the Human Species in Atapuerca

Year 8 students had the opportunity to travel to Burgos and visit the archaeological site of Atapuerca, one of the most valued treasures of our heritage. The caves harbour fossils and archaeological remains from a million and a half years ago, which provides invaluable information about the life and appearance of our ancestors.

In addition to this ancient site, students of O Castro British School visited the Roman villa of La Olmeda, The Archaeological Museum of Saldaña, the Sima, the CEREX, The Museum of Human Evolution in Burgos and the wonderful cathedral of this city, one of the best examples of Gothic style in Spain.

Happy summer holidays, Year 8!
