Y2 visit Baiona

Year 2 students had the opportunity to enjoy a day out at the Royal Village of Baiona. Throughout the day, our children learnt a little more history thanks to the visit to the replica of Pinta Caravel, one of the three ships that Christopher Columbus used for the discovery of the New World in 1492. La Pinta was also the first ship to return to Spain a year later.

Our students did not miss a visit to Virgen de la Roca, the most famous monument of the village. It was built out of granite on Mount Sansón by Antonio Palacios, a famous architect from Porriño, at the beginning of the 20th century.

Last but not least, out students visited the beach, where they had a brilliant time.
