Last week, O Castro British School held an informative meeting for the parents of the students in Secondary regarding the new stage that the school will start next September. A new milestone in the only Cambridge School in Galicia, that will become official with the start of a new academic stage: Sixth Form and the two years corresponding to its Key Stage, Year 12 and Year 13; the equivalent to 1º and 2º de Bachillerato in the Spanish academic system.
In this meeting, our Head Teacher, Nathan Parry, analysed the fantastic marks obtained by our Secondary stage students, not only in the Cambridge Check Points, but also in the IGCSEs, being their results above other Cambridge Schools’ average. He also communicated the new investments that the school will make, such as a new building for Sixth Form with six new classrooms, a lab, an art classroom, a gym and an events hall.
The university stage is getting closer for our students. Thus, A-Levels and their options for the future in the academic field were a big part of the talk, highlighting the fact that our students have the possibility to join some of the most prestigious universities in the world.
