On the 4th and 7th September, the Opening Ceremonies for the school year 2015-2016 were held. Nursery, Primary and Secondary school years were presented at our school in Mos.
The Opening Ceremony for Primary was chaired by Mr David Martínez, Executive Governor, who addressed the families with a warm welcome. Mr Martínez remarked that the academic excellence achieved by the school in the last eight years was only made possible by the teachers, governors, families and students all working together. The Opening Ceremony was also graced with the presence of Ms Carmen Vázquez, Chair of Governors and Mr Nathan Parry, Head Teacher at O Castro British School.
Nathan Parry introduced the new teachers and analysed the results of the students in the previous school year, since O Castro British School became part of the Cambridge International Schools. Such results, which are higher than the average established by the leading British Academic Institution, Cambridge University, confirm the quality and academic excellence of the school.
Mrs María Guyre, Assistant Governor at O Castro British School, welcomed parents and families in an event which took place yesterday afternoon. Mrs Guyre emphasised, on behalf of the school, the effort and support provided by the academic community in the 8 years of the existence of the school.
On closing, the attendees took part in an enjoyable reception in the school gardens.
