The series of talks for parents organised by the Guidance Department and the Technical Director end today with a talk on Adolescence.

Adolescence is a topic of increasing interest for the families of the school. For this reason, it has been the subject chosen for the last talk organised by the Guidance Department and the Technical Director of O Castro British School during this school year.

The talk addressed how this stage of life can be, its phases, myths, the physical and mental changes teenagers go through, brain development, behaviour, teenager’s demands and parental concerns on such a vast and complex topic.

Besides, some advice was given to help teenagers go through this new phase of their lives, with communication as a key tool, and three essential ingredients to educate a teenager: empathy, common sense and, above all, lots of love.
