Last Saturday, Early Year students held their end of year festival with the Olympics as a main theme. Thus, the six groups of Early Years at O Castro British School dressed up as an Olympic team and a sport for the event: Nursery B dressed up as Brazil tennis players; Nursery C dressed up as the Spanish football team; Nursery A dressed up as British athletes; Reception C dressed up as American basketball players; Reception B dressed up as Chinese judokas and Reception A as French swimmers.
The younger students at O Castro British School showed their artistic qualities with the performance of a wide repertoire. The audience listened to ‘Fireworks’ by Katy Perry, ‘We are the Champions’ by Queen or ‘You are the best’ by Joe Esposito.
After Early Years’ performances, we were able to enjoy Year 1 and Year 2 performances. Year 1 had also pulled together their own musical performance, with songs like ‘Get together’ or ‘Happy’. But the moment that everybody had been waiting for was the performance of ‘We are O Castro Kids’, the anthem of O Castro British School. Year 2 students closed the event with a narrated alphabet in English.
However, the party did not stop there, because the PTA of the school had organised a day full of fun for our children, with inflatable castles, a mechanical bull and zip wires.
Happy summer to all our students!
